Review Criteria The following criteria are used in the blind-review of every story.Please make sure you have read the complete submission guidelines. Genre Clear fantasy story. Includes magic, alternate worlds, imagination, curiosities, wonder, etc. Age The main character is the right age. The thoughts, actions, and behaviors are age-appropriate. Characters There are sufficient details that give depth and believability to the characters. Development The development, change, and actions of the characters are merited. Stakes The stakes / challenge is clear and appropriate for the level. Engaging The story is engaging, and holds the reader’s attention to the end. Build-up The build up begins at the start, increases logically, and clearly. Resolution There is a clear resolution and end to the story. Theme Alignment The story fits (generally) the theme of the issue.
